When our business D C Enterprises decided to expand into our new Warehouse last year, we were in need of supplying Pallet Racking for our growing Furniture stock. Our company was looking to place 25,000 new pallet spots, and that is equal to 2,500 Bays. That is no easy task for even the largest and most reputable Pallet Racking companies to fill.

As per our normal course of business we approached several companies to compare the best quotations and receive the most for our money. Of all the companies who submitted their quotations, Alpha Racking came in with the most impressive quote, in fact, it came in a whole 40% cheaper fully installed, a terrific savings over any other quotation!

My partner and I were very happy to save the extra money, but what we were the most excited about was that Alpha warehouse Solutions came into our warehouse and helped us to design the whole layout to run at a more efficient way than we had at first visualised. The staff at Alpha were able to send their guys in after we put the plan together, and their team spent a lot of time in planning and followed through the whole installation from the beginning of the quotation until the end of the final inspection, and even handed us a Certification of Compliance for the Australian Standards.

Every inspection went smoothly throughout the install process, and it only took them 3 months to complete our job, a whole two weeks before our schedule!

Not only were we amazed with the efficiency of the team of Alpha, but the absolute quality of the product was the most impressive. We have several large Warehouses and are a major supplier of furniture to retailers all across Australia and the world; and our Uprights tower to a full 10 meters high. We of course used the Heavy Duty Footplates provided by Alpha and we can easily see why they have won design awards for the strength of the Alpha product.

Over the years, and having experience with some of the other major Brand names in pallet Racking we have witnessed our pallet racking succumb to stress and injury from Forklifts, and Some of the other Brands just don't match up. With the heavy weight capacity that we require, some of our previous Brand rack has actually bent and you can see is no longer strait to the top.

The other noticeable thing about the Alpha Brand is their ability to service us with fast replacements, no longer waiting for 6 weeks to be serviced like previous suppliers.

We would gladly recommend the Alpha Brand to anyone who is looking for a fresh approach to the Material Handling supply market, as a complete and total package, and will invite anyone interested to speak to us regarding the Alpha Company, their products, and are also available to view and inspect the finished result we are proud to show in our Warehouse.

With Alpha, we also purchased in the package that Alpha presented to us, a Forklift and an automatic pallet wrapping machine, and have had excellent results with these new items that are saving us even more time and money. One other thing that alpha presented was the ability to provide immediate finance to help us with our expansion and not many other companies can offer you this.

It is my pleasure to write this testimonial on behalf of Robbie’s Confectionary, Master Distributors the largest Distributors for Cadbury Schweppes in Tasmania, for the company Alpha Racking Pty Ltd. In June of 2005 we approached Alpha racking Pty Ltd to quote a specialised job in Tasmania for our new warehouse.

At the time we were looking for approximately 6,600 pallet spots to be supplied and installed prior to the Christmas holiday season. Our policy has always been to receive three quotes from any company when we are looking to purchase large items for our business. I first received quotations from Dexion and Shaeffer/ Colby and a friend of mine said he knew of a new company based in Melbourne, who could maybe save us some money. I approached Paul Athana, from Alpha Racking Pty Ltd to hear more about his business.

I was really surprised to find that Alpha Racking made their own product in their owned factories in China, and that they could make up our specialised orders specifically for our warehouse within weeks.

This truly captured our interest, due to the fact we use a Crown Terret Fork-truck that has no turning circle, as opposed to normal combustion Fork-trucks. The Fork-truck carries a man on board and can rotate from the base of the mast allowing the man to travel up and down the mast and spin around for ease of spotting and picking, and it allows us to utilise more aisle space for pallet spots, and also gives us the ability to go higher with our pallet spacing so we can store more stock for our money.

Most of our stock weighs around 1.2 Ton per pallet, so it was necessary to utilise Heavy Duty Pallet Racking. Alpha Racking had the ability to provide us with a quotation for Upright frames that were Heavy Duty at 120 X 76 X 2 mm and Heavy Duty footplates so that we could go up to 9.3 meters high. We were very happy that the materials only took 5 weeks to arrive from the factories in China to Tasmania, and that Alpha provided all of the layout, design, and CAD Drawings, and all engineering reports we needed for the project. Our company was able to save in total $200,000.00 and that definitely made us very happy.

What really impressed us about the Alpha Racking team was that they gave us a completion date of 5 weeks, and we moved in after only 4 weeks fully installed and inspected, before the Christmas season as we had planned. We were very impressed with the quality of the product and the installers were professional and safety conscious and worked easily with our team. The management were readily available to inform us of the project progress and everything went smoothly.

The quotation from Alpha Warehouse Solutions came in at the lowest cost, nearly a third of the price of the nearest competitor and included installation and a Forklift and a Shrink Wrap machine with full servicing. I did not know there were different types of Pallet Racking and they were able to show me how we could utilise more space efficiently and gain a better flow of stock through the areas. We also opted to incorporate a whole new technology offered through Alpha Warehouse Solutions in the form of Radio Frequency Identification Systems and this has proven invaluable to us. Not only can we confidently send and receive orders overseas with more knowledge and information but it has made our overall service to our customers faster and more accurate.
